Peppol eInvoicing in Singapore
Singapore was the first country outside Europe to join the Peppol network at a government level. Since 2019, its Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has been driving the use of InvoiceNow – Singapore’s nationwide e-invoicing network – to simplify B2G and B2B transactions.
Building on this momentum, in February 2023 Singapore made InvoiceNow and Peppol the default choice for government vendors.
GST-registered businesses are now encouraged to transmit invoice data to IRAS using InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions. Mandatory participation will begin from 1 November 2025 for newly incorporated voluntary GST registrants and from 1 April 2026 for all new voluntary GST registrants, with plans to gradually include all GST-registered businesses.
