Europe
Are you a:
Government agency dealing with external suppliers?
Private sector company trading across EU borders?
B2B business wanting to stay ahead of regulatory requirements?
Software provider wanting to integrate ViDA-compliant eInvoicing into ERP systems?
ViDA-compliant eInvoicing ensures interoperability, security and efficiency across domestic and international partners. By preparing now, your business can stay ahead of upcoming mandates, reduce administrative burden and safeguard VAT compliance.
Benefits eInvoicing
eInvoicing transforms VAT compliance and business efficiency across Europe. With ViDA, a single connection allows you to exchange structured invoices securely and reliably with any compliant partner, while enjoying cost, speed and compliance benefits.
Cost savings
eInvoicing is estimated to save public sector authorities and private businesses billions per year. Research has found that each structured eInvoice can save businesses €5-€9, with total savings multiplied up to five times when the entire transaction cycle is automated.
Faster payments
Direct digital connections between suppliers and buyers enable faster verification and payments. Businesses no longer need to wait weeks for payment cycles, improving cash flow and efficiency.
Reduced fraud risk
A recent report shows a 43% increase in attempted payment fraud in the EU in 2024 compared to 2023. Structured eInvoicing and secure networks help mitigate this risk, ensuring transactions are verified and traceable.
Simplified cross-border trade
ViDA’s EU-wide framework allows businesses to connect once to a compliant eInvoicing network and transact with any EU partner that adheres to EN16931 standards. This “connect once, reach all” model removes the need for multiple custom integrations, reducing IT complexity and supporting smoother cross-border trade.
Built-in tools and easy integration
Tickstar’s advanced tools like our Peppol Validator, Participant Lookup API and SMP (Service Metadata Publisher) make eInvoicing seamless – no matter the size of your organisation or your business requirements.
ERP-ready for large agencies or vendors
For government agencies or large enterprises, Tickstar’s API allows you to seamlessly integrate Peppol directly into your ERP systems. Software vendors can also embed Peppol into customised solutions, opening up new revenue opportunities with minimal effort.

What does this mean for your business?
If your business trades in the EU or with EU partners, ViDA will affect how you issue, receive and report invoices. Even in countries without current mandates, regulatory alignment is coming, making early adoption crucial.
Ensuring systems support EN16931-compliant structured invoices and digital reporting will help:
- Maintain cross-border compliance
- Minimise risk of penalties or delayed payments

About Peppol
Peppol is a set of standards and technical specifications ensuring the secure and
rapid transfer of electronic documents globally. Peppol’s components ensure
interoperability of eInvoices and other eProcurement documents, facilitating easier
global trade and full compliance with the regulatory requirements and taxation laws
of transacting parties’ respective countries. It also significantly cuts down on
instances of invoice fraud, a persistent problem when transacting through email or
other unsecured messenger service.
The communication nodes in the network, called Access Points, allow direct
connections between verified participants to send and receive standardised
documentation in what is called the Four-corner model. In short, Peppol provides the
one connection to reach any domestic or international partner.
