PEPPOL Workshop 4: Hands-on developer support

On April 18^th, The Swedish National Financial Management Authority (Ekonomistyrningsverket) arranged a face-to-face hands-on Developers’ Workshop with the help from Tickstar’s PEPPOL Expert Developer email hidden; JavaScript is required. The purpose was to facilitate the creation of new PEPPOL START Access Points.

Each of the developers attending the workshop were handed a prepared virtual, fully functioning, development environment so that they could follow the step-by-step instructions on how to get the Official PEPPOL Reference Implementation up and running.

Tickstar is seeking new co-workers. We’re busy now and therefor have to quickly strengthen our team. If you have a few years of development experience, you are definitely of interest for us. If you lack experience it can be compensated with drive and attitude. We will give you the necessary introduction so that you swiftly get on track.

We want developers with skills in java, mobile phone apps or integration. If you, on top of that, can ski or bowl you just have to get in touch.

Primarily we’re looking for swedish speaking developers to work as consultants. If you have experience from any of the following it is of great interest:

Java
J2EE
C++
Mobile phone apps for iPhone/Android
Integration (preferably from Biztalk, Websphere, Inobiz, Oracle SOA Suite)

Peppol

Tickstar has contributed with expertise in the development of the first Swedish START-access point for Peppol.

Peppol is an abbreviation for “Pan European Public Procurement Online” and is a project funded by the European Union with the overall aim to facilitate European businesses, government agencies and institutions to use electronic messages in their purchasing processes.

The project has great ambitions and the goal is to achieve a borderless European standard for service and product providers so that they can completely phase out traditional paper based purchase processes in their business transactions with EU institutions.

In November 2011 the pilot project’s phase is to be ended and will thereafter go live.

Tickstars technical e-commerce B2B skills have been vital in the project, enabling Sweden to rapidly establish itself as the leading European pilot implementation.

Open ESB Summit

Tickstar participates in the Open ESB Summit 2010 in Brussels, the first conference in the OpenESB community, where the roadmap and future work for the OpenESB project are discussed. Participants come from approximately twenty European companiest.
